JUST ACQUIRED FOR THE 1999 SEASON -- For successful applicants for deer in unit 411, I have an excellent drop camp on private land.  For more information, call me at (970) 874-4980.

DTD Outfitters and Guide Service offers archery deer and elk hunts, rifle deer and elk hunts, muzzleloading deer and elk hunts, rifle antelope hunts and bear hunts. Our primary hunts are for elk but deer, antelope and bear are also in the area.

Our base of operations is located on private property, on the Uncompaghre Plateau about 35 miles southwest of Delta, Colorado in game management unit #62. Our tents are setup to accommodate 3 to 4 persons per tent. Cots and foam pads are provided for additional sleeping comfort. The tents are heated by wood stoves and are quite roomy and comfortable.

All hunts are fully guided hunts with top quality guides and all the equipment necessary to make your hunting experience enjoyable and successful. Our guide to client ratio will not be less than 1 to 3. All guides are local and meet State licensing requirements. We take only a limited number of hunters in each camp so your chances for hunting success are good.

Everything is furnished for you except sleeping bags, firearms, bows, personal gear and hunting licenses. We will provide for or arrange your transportation to and from the airport if necessary. We can also arrange for your game to be processed and ready for you when you leave if you desire.

No drinking is allowed while hunting and excessive drinking is not tolerated in camp. We want everyone to have a safe and memorable hunting trip.

We will be hunting on private land, Uncompaghre National Forest and BLM ground depending on weather conditions and seasonal game movement. All elk, deer and bear hunting will be in game management unit #62.

Hunting will be done from four wheel drives and on foot. Horses are used for packing only. Please let us know if you have special medical conditions or needs -- we'll accommodate you if possible.

All rifle and archery hunts are combination hunts, allowing you to hunt for either mule deer or elk. Muzzleloader hunts are by drawing only and you must be successful in obtaining the proper license prior to booking your hunt. These hunts are five day hunts with one day for arrival and one for departure for a total of seven days. Rifle hunts for deer and elk are $2,000. Archery and muzzleloader hunts are $1,500. Additional days may be booked at an additional cost. License fees are $250.25 for elk and $150.25 for deer.

We also have a limited number of drop camps available. One is a small cabin which accommodates four people, the other is a tent camp that accommodates four. Everything is furnished for the drop camps except food. These hunts are for five days with one day to pack in and one day to return for a total of seven days. These camps are priced at $750 per person for a five day hunt. Trips can be extended at the rate of $50 per day if there are no conflicts with previous bookings.

Antelope hunts are by drawing only for game management unit 13 and 301. Hunters must be successful in drawing a license prior to booking a hunt. All antelope hunts are on private land and the success rate has been 100% on bucks of 14 to 15 inches. Antelope hunts are priced at $1,500 plus the license fee of $150.25.

All hunts require a 50% deposit at the time of booking with the balance due on arrival for your hunt. Personal checks are accepted for deposits only. DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. You will be provided with a contract outlining services to be provided upon booking. References are available and will be gladly furnished upon request.
