ALL DIAMOND PEAK HUNTS ARE SELF GUIDED

Dear Big Game Hunter; |
|
|
Thank you for your interest in hunting big game on Diamond Peak Ranch in Colorado.
Diamond Peak Ranch sits at a elevation of 8,000 feet and is located 55 miles northwest of Fort Collins, Colorado, and 30 miles south of Laramie, Wyoming. Our
1,800 acre, private ranch is nestled in the Roosevelt National Forest in Colorado. Diamond Peak Ranch is bordered by approximately 15,000 acres of National Forest to the west. The ranch is located in game management unit #8.

Prime deer and elk habitat is abundant throughout the ranch. Trail Creek is a year round source of running water and has great
brook trout fishing. Trail Creek winds through large hay meadows bordered by majestic mountains, ideal for bedding deer and elk. There is a large herd
of elk that moves through the ranch at will, and the mule deer can be seen somewhat regularly throughout the ranch. |
The rustic log cabin, built in 1890, has all the comforts of home, including a spring fed water source. Hot and cold running water, bath, shower, electricity, refrigerator, microwave, cooking utensils, propane cooking stove and
propane heat. The cabin sleeps six comfortably and you can start hunting when you step out the door!
Cellular phone service is available 1/2 mile from the cabin. There is no television reception but the picture window has an incredible view of the mountains and meadows.
|
The ranch and its boundaries are accessed easily by foot or by vehicle. The terrain will accommodate hunters of all experience levels.
All hunters are self-guided, provide their own food, bedding and hunting gear. Our goal is to provide you and your hunting partners a quality location and the freedom to enjoy it.

The success of the hunters has varied through out the years and hunting seasons. Hunter success will vary due to; time spent in the field, experience of the hunters, weather conditions, luck and other uncontrollable factors.
I have owned and hunted the ranch for 20 years and though my success varies year to year I will always see game on the ranch and surrounding property during
all of the hunting seasons. Being in the right place at the right time is essential. There are no guarantees when dealing with weather and wild game.
Antelope and other small game hunting on the ranch is prohibited without prior
arrangements with the owner. The entire ranch is fenced and posted. This may or may not keep trespassers out. Generally, we have little trouble with trespassers.
ATV's are welcome, but must be currently registered in your state. There are roads throughout the ranch that will assist you in getting closer to down game, or to better hunting spots.
I think that you will be happy with your choice to hunt on Diamond Peak Ranch. I will assist you in any way that I can, to make your stay enjoyable and successful. The Ranch is in game management unit #8. If you want to get the Quadrangle Topographic map, it is Diamond Peak, Colo.-Wyo.
